October 17, 2020- Landscaping Habitat for Humanity Home

Newport Rotarians Landscaping Habit for Humanity Home

     On Saturday, October 17th, several Newport Rotarians spent their Saturday landscaping the Habitat for Humanity townhomes in Newport.  Several local businesses and individuals made generous donations to make the day possible.  Thanks to all who participated!!

August 8, 2020- Rotary of Newport Involved in Beach Clean-Ups

Rotary Club of Newport, Oregon cleans two beaches on August 8, 2020.

     On Saturday, August 8th, close to 30 Newport Rotarians spent the morning cleaning two beaches, Beverly Beach State Park and South Beach State Park.  Rotarians gathered almost 100lbs. of garbage off the beaches.  Good job Newport Rotarians.  A big thanks to Aimee Thompson for organizing the project and Thompson's Sanitary for disposing the waste.

August 6, 2020- Rotary Club of Newport Donates $2,000 to Meals on Wheels

     Rotary of Newport President Freddy Saxton announced Thursday that the club has donated $2,000 to Meals on Wheels.  The Rotary Club of Newport has partnered with Rotary clubs from Albany, Corvallis and Philomath for a total of $18,000 donated.  Lincoln County Meals on Wheels will receive $7,500 to be used for much needed food for vulnerable seniors.
